Less than 24 hours after, but the liberal proprietor of the restaurant has been learning a very valuable lesson.
On Friday evening, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her household were denied service and asked to render The Red Hen by the owner of the institution because of Sanders’ affiliation with the Trump government. Sanders, always a class act, peacefully got up and left the premises with no further incident, rather than causing a scene.
According to Daily Mail, the incident first came to light when team member Jaike Foley-Schultz said he was just able to serve Sanders for just two minutes before a manager came over and kicked her out.
“I just served Sarah Huckabee Sanders to get a total of two minutes before my owner kicked out her together with all her other family members,” he posted on Facebook.
The post went viral following Brennan Gilmore, the director of the nonprofit green group sterile Virginia, shared it on Twitter along with a handwritten note in the restaurant which read:”86 — Sara Huckabee Sanders.” Apparently the owner didn’t need to serve her and her party out of moral conviction.”
For people who do not know,”86″ is restaurant industry slang meaning”throw out.”
On Saturday afternoon, Sanders confirmed the story and provided her reply on Twitter, composing,”Last evening I had been told by the proprietor of Red Hen at Lexington, VA to leave since I work for [President Donald Trump] and I politely left. Her actions say a lot more about her than me. I do my best to deal with people, such as those I disagree with, respectfully and will keep doing so.”
Last night I had been told by the proprietor of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I left. Her activities say a lot more about her than me. I do my best to treat individuals, including those I disagree with, professionally and certainly will continue to do so
Lots of the recent articles reflect the Sarah Sanders event. “Was likely to eat but they informed me that they don’t serve my sort.
“In case you’re a’deplorable’ don’t bother dining here, you won’t be served. Figuring out somebody because of their political beliefs is absurd regardless of what you believe,” Gene, from Queen Creek, Arizona, composed.
“Instead of being honored a very successful, high profile female arrives to a restaurant, with her loved ones, for just an easy, peaceful meal, you ask she leaves because of your political views. Sad. Unprofessional. Disrespectful. Your Dems agree.”
Just as we watched when she was brutally attacked during the White House Correspondents Dinner, Sarah Sanders handled this unfortunate situation with grace, class, and dignity.
She could have made a scene, but instead, she acted like a woman and just left The Red Hen without episode, respecting the wishes of this restaurant’s owner.
After all, you can’t control the scenarios which befall you, but you can certainly control how you react to them. The way that you respond during a regrettable ordeal like the one Sanders faced on Friday defines you; Sanders is a woman of impeccable character.
Of course, if she were a Democrat, she’d be praised by the media, the public, and liberal restaurant proprietors alike. She’s rather an inspiration — she’s the very first press secretary in U.S. history for a working mom.
If she had been a Democrat, she would be the poster child for the movement. But, she works for President Donald Trump, so people on the left are entirely unimpressed with her many accomplishments.
Truly, Sanders has attained a great deal of success in both her personal life and her professional life, and she has done so through hard work and hard labour.
She’s a living, breathing, illustration that women can do anything if only they are willing to work hard for whatever they want. The Red Hen deserves every piece of negative attention they get over kicking her out. Apparently, not.
